Administration Announces Strong Support for S. 1919 – Buying American Cotton Act of 2025
The American Cotton Shippers Association (ACSA) thanks the Administration for their strong support of the Buying American Cotton Act (S. 1919). The legislation represents an important opportunity to strengthen American agriculture, increase support for U.S.-grown cotton, and advance the health and well-being of American consumers.
In its Statement of Administration Policy, the White House expressed strong support for the legislation, stating, “If S. 1919 were presented to the President, his advisors would recommend that he sign it into law.”
ACSA urges Congressional leaders, including Senate Majority Leader John Thune and Speaker of the House Mike Johnson, to advance and pass this important legislation. Supporting American cotton means supporting U.S. farmers, strengthening domestic demand, and investing in a natural fiber that benefits American agriculture and consumers alike.
