Cotton Program Status

As of this morning, the government shutdown is over and we are back at 100% operations in all Divisions of the AMS Cotton Program.  Market News reports resumed today and are available in the same fashion as before the shutdown.  Standardization work and shipping resumed this morning as well.  All grading activities including futures classification remained intact and fully operational throughout the shutdown and both continue to increase.

Thank you for your support during this challenging time.

Best Regards,

Darryl W. Earnest

Deputy Administrator

USDA, AMS, Cotton & Tobacco Program
