Douglas Brinkley currently is a professor of history at Rice University and CNN Presidential Historian. His most recent book, Rightful Heritage (2016), a New York Times best seller, chronicles Franklin Delano Roosevelt’s passion and drive and analyzes the tension between business and nature with respect to our natural resources. Brinkley is a sought-after commentator on U.S. presidential history and has written books on Theodore Roosevelt, John F. Kennedy, Gerald Ford, Jimmy Carter and Ronald Reagan. Brinkley is contributing editor for Vanity Fair and a frequent contributor to The New York Times, The New Yorker and The Atlantic Monthly.
Hampton Sides is best-known for his gripping non-fiction adventure stories set in war or depicting epic expeditions of discovery and exploration. He is the author of the bestselling histories Ghost Soldiers, Blood and Thunder, Hellhound on His Trail, and, most recently, In the Kingdom of Ice, which recounts the heroic polar voyage of the U.S.S. Jeannette during the Gilded Age. He is editor-at-large for Outside and a frequent contributor to National Geographic and other magazines.
Mark Pryor was named The Seam’s new Chairman and CEO in August 2015, after working several years with the company in multiple positions Pryor had served as the Global Head of IT, Cotton, for Noble Agri. His global leadership role in this multi-commodity, multi-national organization further enhanced his skills and industry relationships. Previous to his roles in agricultural technology, Pryor was instrumental in the development of web and web banking technologies for Share One, Morgan Keegan and International Paper. “The Seam brand is stronger than ever and has grown into one of the most globally admired companies in the industry,” Pryor said. “It is an incredible honor for me to come back and lead the company on the next wave of growth and innovation.”
